 Open Access Policy

Basrah Journal of Date Palm Research provides immediate, permanent, and free access to all published content. The journal is committed to the principles of Open Access (OA) as defined by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

1. Access and Availability

All articles are freely available to readers worldwide immediately upon publication.
No subscription or payment is required to view, download, or share articles.
 Articles are published in HTML and PDF formats to ensure broad accessibility.

 2. Licensing

 All published articles are licensed under the **Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0)**.
Users may copy, distribute, and adapt the work, provided that the original authors and source are properly cited.

3. Author Fees (Article Processing Charges – APCs)

 The journal applies Article Processing Charges (APCs) only after acceptance of the manuscript.
 Fees are as follows:

Iraqi authors: 75,000 IQD per article
Authors from outside Iraq: 50 USD per article
Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish and distribute under the CC BY 4.0 license.

4. Preservation

 The journal ensures permanent digital preservation through archiving systems such as PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) or other recognized repositories.

5. Editorial Commitment

Open Access ensures that all research is widely accessible to the scientific community, policymakers, and the public.
The journal supports transparency, reproducibility, and broad dissemination of scientific knowledge.

 6. Transparency

 All policies regarding fees, licensing, and access are openly communicated to authors prior to submission.

Authors are informed about fees immediately after acceptance, ensuring full transparency.
